Using the Pan (hand) tool
Often pages of the document will be larger than the viewer's window. In such cases, the scroll bars at right and bottom can be used to scroll around in the page image. In general, all scaling and scrolling changes persist as you move from page to page.
The
"Mouse" control, pictured at left, determines the current mode that
the viewer is in. By default, the viewer is in "scroll" mode, as
indicated by the hand button being depressed. (The magnifying glass button puts
the viewer in "zoom" mode; the pencil button
puts the viewer in "annotation"
mode.) When in scroll mode, the mouse can be used to "grab" a
point on the image and drag it around on the screen.
1. Click once on the hand so the button is depressed and your mouse arrow is a hand.
2. Click and hold your mouse button and move the mouse in the direction you want to move the image.
3. Release the mouse button.
