Typical Life
The typical life of a property is its expected life, based on its type and
quality. You must enter the typical life for the following depreciation methods:
- Method 2: M&S Depreciation Tables, Entered Typical Life
- Method 3: Age/Life (Straight Line)
You cannot enter a typical live for the building for the other depreciation
methods. However, for the following methods, Residential Estimator automatically
sets the typical life using the Typical Building Life table from Section E of
the Residential Cost Handbook:
- Method 1: M&S Depreciation Tables, M&S Typical Life
- Method 6: M&S Depreciation Tables, M&S Typical Life, Condition Adjustment
