Tools Menu
The options in the Tools menu are:
- Database Maintenance: Compact and repair the database.
- Template Maintenance: Create and maintain export templates, which allow you to export specific
building data and calculation results to a text file for use by other applications
(such as other databases, word processing and spreadsheet programs).
- Category Maintenance: Move estimates from one category to another, and delete unused categories.
- Calculator: Use the standard calculator to perform simple calculations.
- View Log: Display the log files produced by the Delete/Archive, Group Processing, Import and Export options of the File menu.
- Register:Register Residential Estimator.
- Customize: Customize the data collected on the General Information screen, set new estimate values for General Information and Cost Adjustments, set several items used in the calculations, and customize the format of the
reports.
- Options: Set how to display estimates in the estimate listing grid (Open, Delete/Archive, Group Processing and Export options in the File menu), and the location of the databases and other files used by the program.
