Screens and Navigation

Many functions in Residential Estimator use one or more screens. The main elements on the screens are:

Tabs:

Use the tabs to easily move from one screen to another.

Data Fields:

These are individual data entry fields for a single data item, such as the total floor area or the number of stories.

Grids:

These are table-like data entry areas for sets of related data items. Each "row" in a grid is for a single set of data items. Each "column" in a grid is for a different data item.

Drop-down Lists:

Drop-down lists allow you to make a selection from a list of items, which you display by clicking the button on its right side:

Buttons:

Buttons tell Residential Estimator to perform some action.

Check Boxes:

Check boxes are used to indicate that you want to select a given item.
