Saving an Estimate
You can save an estimate during data entry using either of the following File menu options:
- Save Option: For estimates you have already saved, this saves any data you have changed
since last saving. For new estimates that have not yet been saved, this saves the
data as a new estimate and automatically assigns it a new unique estimate number.
- Save As Option: For any estimates, this saves the estimate as a new estimate, assigning it a
new unique estimate number. If you had previously saved the estimate, the previously saved data remains
unchanged.
After Residential Estimator saves the estimate, it returns to the Estimate Data Screens. In addition, Residential Estimator asks if you want to save changed
estimates when you use either of these File menu options:
- Close Option: When you close an estimate containing changes that you have not saved,
Residential Estimator prompts if you want to save the changes. You can choose to save
the changes or discard them.
- Exit Option: When you exit the program with a changed estimate still open, Residential
Estimator prompts if you want to save the changes. You can choose to save the
changes or discard them.
