Save Option in the File Menu

The Save option in the File menu saves the data in one of the following ways:

Existing Estimates: If you have previously saved the estimate, it saves any changes you have made since last saving.
New Estimates: For new estimates that you have not previously saved, it saves the data as a new estimate and automatically assigns it a unique estimate number.

The steps for the Save option are:

Select the Save option in the File menu.
If you have not yet saved the estimate, Residential Estimator displays the Save As screen:

If you want to save the estimate in a category different from the one displayed, click the category

button and select a new category from the list displayed. Click the OK button to save the estimate.

When Residential Estimator displays "Estimate saved," click the OK button. Residential Estimator returns to the Estimate Data Screens.
