New Option in the File Menu

1. Click the button in the toolbar or select the New option in the File menu.

2. Residential Estimator displays the Estimate Data Screens, accessed using the following tabs:
   

• U.S. ZIP Code or Canadian Postal Code on the General Information screen

• Residence Type, Style and Total Floor Area on the Building Data screen.

• Components for Exterior Walls, Roofing, etc., on the Components screen.

3. Once you have completed entering the estimate data, you can do any of the following:
   • Enter or change any or all of the data for the estimate, using the first four data entry tabs and the Cost Adjustments button on the Totals screen.

   • Calculate the cost for the estimate by clicking the Calculate button on the Totals screen.

   • Print one or more reports by clicking the button in the toolbar (or by selecting the Print option in the File menu).

   • Preview one or more reports by clicking the button in the toolbar (or by selecting the Preview option in the File menu).

   • Save the data you have entered for an estimate by clicking the button on the toolbar (or by selecting the Save or Save As options in the File menu).

   • Close the estimate by clicking the button on the toolbar (or by selecting the Close option in the File menu).

   • Exit the Residential Estimator using the Exit option in the File menu.
