Estimate Listing Grid

This grid displays all the estimates for the search criteria entered on the search tabs below the estimate listing grid. Estimates display in it when you click the Find Now button on the Estimate Search Tabs.

This grid follows standard Windows conventions:

Scrolling Through Estimates

If there are more estimates than can be displayed at once in the grid, Residential Estimator displays a vertical scroll bar on the right side of the grid. Use this scroll bar to move up and down in the estimate listing:

Sorting Estimates

To sort the estimates displayed in the grid based on the data in one of the columns, click on the appropriate column label. The first click sorts in ascending order, the second in descending order, the third in ascending order, etc.

Example: To sort the estimates into city order, click on graphics/Re7help00000136.gif. The estimates are sorted in ascending order by city name:

Changing Column Width

To change the width of a column, use the mouse to point at the line between the column’s label and the next, press the left mouse button and drag the column width to the desired size.

Example: To increase the width of the Address column, point between the Address and City labels:

and as the cursor changes to graphics/Re7help00000139.gif, click and drag to the right to widen the column:

Horizontal Scroll Bar

Unless you narrow the columns significantly, all columns cannot be displayed at once. Use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the grid to move the estimate listing grid columns to the left or right, displaying additional columns.

Selecting Multiple Estimates

For all options except Open, you can select several estimates in any of the following ways:

Then hold down the Ctrl key and click on a second estimate. Residential Estimator highlights this estimate, and leaves the highlighting on estimates previously selected:

Continue "Ctrl-clicking" on estimates until you have highlighted all estimates you want to select.

To deselect a estimate after selecting it, press the Ctrl key and click on the estimate’s row. Residential Estimator removes the highlighting from that estimate, but leaves highlighting on the other estimates you have selected.
